“WORKHORSE”
Waukesha Engine developed and mass-produced the first gas engines of the VHP (Very High Power) series in the mid-1960s. Their capability to operate on heavy gaseous fuels like associated petroleum gas, coupled with their reliability and high performance, have rendered them immensely popular among O&G companies globally.
FOR DRILLING APPLICATIONS
In terms of load acceptance, the VHP series closely resembles diesel units, with the GRU reaching rated load in two steps (up to 70% potentially reached at the first step). The VHP series is often employed to supply power for drilling operations due to its high acceleration. The combination of low operating costs and easy maintenance enables these gas engines to operate in remote O&G fields as autonomous energy sources and to drive compressor units.
ON ANNUAL GAS
In Oil & Gas Industry, the versatile nature of this line has allowed for the utilization of APG from the annulus of a well pad as fuel.
Waukesha VHP serves as the primary equipment in the fleet of ETS-Astana LLP.
Over 17,000 units have been manufactured to date.
