The gas reciprocating power plant is transferred to the tenant company for a long-term lease (at least 3 years). Operation can be carried out by technical personnel of the customer or ETS-Astana, while servicing and repairs are exclusively handled by ETS-Astana service engineers.
When leasing, the primary investment responsibility rests with ETS-Astana. It is the responsibility of the tenant to provide a prepared site with foundations and connection points for utilities. The tenant shall subsequently pay only the rent according to the agreed schedule. ETS-Astana is ready to assume responsibility for the operation of the leased equipment through its operational service.
The rental rate is contingent upon the operational mode of the gas reciprocating power plant:
- The power plant acts as a permanent or backup source of energy;
- Operation is carried out by the customer’s or ETS-Astana’s personnel.
In a leasing agreement, the tenant assumes operational risks, whereas in a lease with operational services, the lessor bears the operating risks. At the end of the contract period, there’s an option for the tenant to purchase the equipment and take ownership.
Responsibility of ETS-Astana:
- Supply of containerized gas reciprocating power plant and additional equipment;
- Carrying out commissioning work.
- Setting up a control system for remote monitoring of equipment operation.
- Sending a service engineer to handle emergency situations.
- Carrying out routine maintenance with the supply of consumables.
Responsibility of the tenant company:
- Preparation of a project for connecting external networks (gas supply, heat and electricity supply).
- Preparation of the site and foundations for installation of equipment.
- Installation of all external networks.
- Handing over the facility to supervisory authorities.
- Carrying out rental payments according to the schedule agreed in the contract.
