A wind power plant with an installed capacity of 5 MW was commissioned at the end of 2018 near Aktau Airport.
At the pre-project stage, ETS-Astana LLP conducted a comprehensive feasibility study for the wind farm construction project. This study included an assessment of the wind potential at the site using WindScout program and weather data from Cube. Additionally, an analysis was conducted on capital and operating costs, annual electricity generation considering existing network tariffs, macroeconomic indicators, and other relevant factors. Based on the financial model of the project, a conclusion was made about the technical and economic feasibility of constructing a wind farm.

At the end 2018, the 5 MW wind farm and high-voltage power transmission line were put into commercial operation. Since 2019, ETS-Astana LLP has been actively involved in the operational management of energy facilities, including (5 MW wind farm and cable-overhead power lines linked to the 110 kV/10 kV substation “Akshukur” within the Aktau Distribution Zone operated by Mangistau Regional Electric Grid Company JSC). The responsibilities encompass routine maintenance service tasks and participation in operational switching operations, in collaboration with MREK JSC.
All tasks are executed by certified engineers who have undergone specialized training at equipment manufacturing plants, ensuring compliance with the latest standards and regulations.
