Waukesha VGF 18SE
Waukesha VGF 18SE, like all units in the VGF series, features a turbocharger designed to operate effectively even at high altitudes above sea level. This feature enables the VGF to operate at altitudes of 1,676 meters for the Lean Burn modification and 1,524 meters for the Rich Burn modification.
Waukesha VGF 18SE features excellent dynamic characteristics, including the ability to rapidly accept and release loads.
Depending on the available fuel gas pressure at the site of operation, two engine modifications are available: one with gas-air mixture preparation in a carburetor upstream of the turbine (for low pressure), and the other with gas mixing downstream of the turbocharger (for high fuel gas pressure).
