Jenbacher JMS 420

Jenbacher JMS 420 belongs to Series 4 Jenbacher gas engines (Type 4). It is one of the most contemporary units in the line, having been part of the production program since 2002. It is based on the designs of the time-tested Jenbacher Type 3 and Type 6 units. It boasts one of the highest electrical efficiencies (el.) in its class at 44%, with the total efficiency in cogeneration mode reaching 88%. Four-stroke gas internal combustion engine equipped with turbocharging and a fuel mixture cooler. The ignition system is high-voltage, and the gas-air mixture preparation control system is electronic. The engine is equipped with the latest LEANOX lean air mixture combustion system, developed and patented by Jenbacher. The engine and generator are interconnected and mounted elastically on a support frame. This setup ensures that the support frame of the unit remains isolated from minor vibrations originating from the engine and generator. Residual vibrations are eliminated by placing the unit on insulating mats, such as force-measuring mats. This enables the unit to be positioned on any surface capable of supporting a static load.
